| What is EFV? Excess Flow Valves (EFV) are safety devices installed on natural gas distribution lines to reduce the risk of accidents caused by excessive gas flow. EFV's can reduce the risks of accidents by shutting off unplanned excessive flows that occur primarily from excavation damage to service lines located between the gas main and the customer's building.
